HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY OF ALBANIA!

On behalf of all the Ambassadors in the African Continent, we wish the government and the People Albania a happy Independence celebration day, to proudly celebrate the 28th November, the Independence Day as the nation’s birthday. On this day we honour and appreciate all those that made everything they could for the nation, who gave their life for freedom and independence so everyone can celebrate.

The Declaration of Independence contains the famous assertion that: “You hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. To secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their Safety and Happiness.”

The Declaration of Independence was a statement of truth, but more so a statement of aspiration, and since those words first rang out in 1776, the American people have striven, sometimes struggled and fought to make that great national aspiration more true for every generation.

I want each and everyone to know why Albanians celebrate Independence Day?

Flag and Independence Day in Albania is celebrated on November 28 each year. The holiday is in celebration of the Albanian Declaration of Independence, which was signed in November, 1912, as well as the raising of the Albanian flag in Viora and Kruje on November 28, 1443.

And above all they got their independence because they were united and focused.

And with the support of Austria, Hungary and Italy, success was at least possible. A hastily called assembly proclaimed the independence of Albania on November 28, 1912.
